Spring cleaning started early for me this year. I filled up my grocery cart with clothes, sheets, towels, shoes, a vacuum, and a reading pillow and headed to the White Elephant at the corner of Fullerton, Halstead, & Lincoln."One hundred percent of the sales at this resale shop benefit Children's Memorial Hospital, located directly across the street. Though it's at a very busy intersection at Fullerton, Lincoln and Halstead, the store is relatively calm within. Two large rooms plainly display furniture, accent pieces, art, jewelry, appliances and clothing, all donated by customers in Chicago and the surrounding suburbs. The store is run by the Women's Board of the hospital and has been in business helping Children's Memorial for more than 120 years." -- Editorial Review for White Elephant Shop – by Suzanne Carmel
Got stuff you want to donate? Just drop it off inside the Halstead entrance of the store Mon-Sat 10am-5pm, Sun 12pm-5pm.
