That was the name of the game last night. Train to Jon's where we made dinner and then brainstormed ideas for an RFP that came in yesterday. Biked home where Lesley, Mary, and I fleshed out some plans for a weekend trip in September. Practiced guitar for about 45 minutes. Unpacked the office boxes. Went to bed.Today promises to be productive as well. Before leaving the house this morning I watered and half re-potted my plant on the porch and still left the house on time.
Random thoughts on productivity:
#1. Why is it that a kick in the pants works so well? Every time I take a little hiatus posting, I'm asked to face it -- the blog is dying. After hearing that, I want to post with a vengeance (Die Hard style). Yeah, that's the phase I'm in currently.
#2. Not that I don't already have enough to keep me busy, but... I was thinking of starting a second blog called "Modern Art is Ugly." I would take photos of the stupid sculptures around the city that look like they're made out of metal silly putty or corrugated steel and bash them and the frivolous artists that made them. Some may call me uncultured and they're welcome to that opinion, but does Chicago really need another swishy post?
