Sitting in O'Hare the Day Before Thanksgiving

I'm sitting in O'Hare Airport, the United Terminal, Concourse B. They're boarding the flight ahead of mine and so far (no wood to knock on) everything is running smoothly. The security line took all of 4 minutes--the fastest I've ever made it through O'Hare's security lines and it's THE DAY BEFORE THANKSGIVING! Where is everyone?

The people watching isn't half bad. Some wear little more than PJs -- a mix of velour tracksuits, school sweatpants & shirts, a great number of gym shoes. Some look open for business -- power suits, bluetooth headsets, heels that make my toes weep.

I'm the second to last seating group so I'm a little concerned there wont be room for my carry-on, but I guess all I can do is hope for the best. More later...
