That's where I was this past week. For a summary of Videocracy, I prefer Ian Schafer's summary to the one in the New York Times. While less high profile, the other note worthy event occurred on the plane. My seat mate and I bonded over the dog who got sick on the plane before take off and had to be removed with his owner, delaying us 45 minutes. Tony and I did not stop chatting all the way to Chicago. I can't remember the last time I've enjoyed a conversation to that extent (let alone on a plane). He's 33 and married and if his wife has her way, he'll have kids before long. We talked about books we've read, our shared experiences growing up in the country, work, our favorite bars and restaurants in Chicago. To think, all the conversations I've missed out when I've napped on planes to the tunes of my iPod.
