Morning: I think it' safe to call it springtime in Chicago. This morning I rode my bike in with a tank top and light sweater, no gloves. I woke up an hour early, 6am, so that I could be to work before a team planning meeting offsite. The streets were fairly open, a warm breeze greeted me, and I basked in the fabulousness of my new sun glasses. Life doesn't get much better than this....
Afternoon: Or does it? Today I saw an albino baby wearing sunglasses with a little umbrella attached to the stroller. It (not the baby in particular) reminded me of the albino porcupine that lived around my house where I grew up. Ah memories.

Evening: Jon's guitar recital started at 8:45pm. Because I wanted to get a little exercise in, I decided to walk to his house first. It was a good idea, but next time I might consider shorts. I walked the 3.1 miles in about 50 minutes in 75-77 degree heat in jeans. By the end, I had actually worked up a sweat! I blame the sun and genetics. Before the recital, I did cool down with an iced chai at neocafe while Jon practiced with his group. Then after the recital, we walked to the Jewel and celebrated with Snicker's Ice Cream Bars. Mmmmmmmm.
