Random thought... You know how people always say in their voice messages, "I'll get back to you as soon as possible"? Who actually does this? I know I don't. And as a society, we've built extensive dating rules around not getting back to people as soon as possible. Everyone, go change your voice messages unless you intend to respond immediately. Maybe the new messages should go something like this: Hi, this is so-and-so. I either can't hear my phone, can't figure out call waiting, haven't charged my phone, or don't want to talk to you right now. As long as I want to talk to you when I see this missed call, I'll get back to you. This could take several minutes or several days. Bye!
